Summer Projects

Summer School 2008

18 - 22 August

will be an original script with some familiar songs

Rogues and Vagabonds held their first summer school in 2006 when they presented The Dracula Spectacula.

In 2007 our summer project took  place from 20 - 24 August, and looked at songs from Cabaret and song, words and music from Berlin in the 1930s, including music by Kurt Weill. There were opportunities for research and creating script as well as artwork.

Summer 07 160web06

The week culminated with a performance to family and friends on  the Friday evening.   The aim is to have a fun holiday week, with a purpose. Experience of musical theatre is not necessary – enthusiasm and a sense of humour is helpful!

The leaders of the course – Amanda Laidler and Andrew Holtom - are both registered theatre chaperones and have extensive experience of directing and teaching young people.

The project developed formed the basis of our autumn show DIVIDED LIVES
